Prabowo-Sandi Introduces 'Surya Santri' Program
Siaran Id. Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno Candidate Deputy President of the Republic of Indonesia stressed that the Pair Prabowo Subianto-Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno launched the 'Santri Surya' program. It is an energy self-sufficiency program using solar energy into electricity, and making Islamic boarding schools as a pilot project.
"The bricks will be the pilot project of the 'santri surya' program that we have planned," said Sandiaga Uno after attending the closing of the IV Week of the Week at the Mambaul Ulum, Bata-brick, Pamekasan, Madura, East Java Islamic Boarding School on Sunday night (20 / 1/2019).
Sandiaga said, in the future it is necessary to develop new renewable energy, to meet energy needs in Indonesia. One of them is by utilizing solar power.
"Islamic boarding schools, I think are very much in need, just to provide one or two rooms to convert solar thermal energy to electricity," Sandiaga said.
Sandi continued, so that the pesantren in the future is expected to be self-sufficient in energy, and no longer need to worry about meeting electricity needs. "For the Islamic Boarding Schools this brick can do that later, it can be channeled to the neighbors around this pesantren," he said.
Apart from energy, other forms of self-sufficiency that need to be considered are food and meat. "So I was amazed, when the caregiver explained, that one of the types of activities in this week's salary week is the farming and Koran-based salary," Sandi said.
Sandi hopes that in the upcoming 5th Week of Teachings, 'Dream' to create independent Islamic boarding schools, both in terms of energy, food and meat needs, can be realized.
The activity of the international valuable Salary Week at the Islamic Boarding School which was led by RH M Tohir Abd Hamid was a routine activity since four years ago. In the 4th Week of Remembrance attended by representatives of Ulama from six countries, namely the Countries of Singapore, Malaysia, Egypt, Brunei Darussalam, Lebanon, and including Representatives of Ulama from several Islamic Boarding Schools in Indonesia.
Sandiaga Uno is one of the presenters who once gave a study of entrepreneurship, and the closing of interested events was re-invited by the executive committee. Sandi was not only invited as a guest of honor, but he was also asked by the activity committee to combine the students' English skills in the boarding school.
Before going to Bata, Sandiaga also conducted a visit to the Pemekasan Traditional Batik Market, namely Pasar 17 August in Bugih Village, then to the Banyuanyar West and Banyuanyar East Islamic Boarding Schools, before finally attending the closing of the 4th Salary Week at Mambaul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bata -Bata, Sunday night (01/20/2019).
